Katelorizo, also known as Megisti, has a long varied history. Right on the edge of Greece and minutes away from southern Turkey, this is where Europe ends and Asia begins.

Although very small and secluded getting there is no problem.

Right on the water's edge, the Mediterraneo Hotel is in the island's only town of 250 inhabitants.

Run by French architect Marie Rivalant, the Hotel was recently refurbished and is furnished with a collection of crafts of different origins.
